Vision, Priorities & Invitation to Fireside Chat on 23 Apr
Dear Members,
We are honoured to introduce ourselves as the new Co Chairs of the Institute of Shopping Centre Management, effective 1 April.
Building on ISCM’s 20 year foundation, and together with our 2026–28 Board, we are excited to serve ISCM and to work with you to strengthen our profession, support one another, and shape the future of shopping centre management.
Our Vision for ISCM:
- A connected professional community: foster meaningful connections across asset managers, operators, service providers and academic partners so we can learn from one another and share best practice.
- A centre of excellence: raise professional knowledge and standards through practical research, industry‑led training and recognised competencies for shopping centre management.
- A driver of member‑centred value: deliver events and resources for members at every career stage, and support innovation with future‑ready leadership that embraces change.
Initial Priorities and Plans:
- Learning & events: deliver a calendar of practical events and study tours focused on innovation, emerging trends and best‑practice sharing.
- Member engagement: broaden networking formats and expand working groups to enhance member experience and influence.
- Collaboration & advocacy: deepen partnerships with industry bodies, local authorities and academic institutions to co-create research, champion shopping centre management and amplify impact.
ISCM Announces Board of Directors for 2026–2028
The Institute of Shopping Centre Management Limited (ISCM) is pleased to announce the
Board of Directors for the 2026–2028 term. The Board was elected by members at ISCM’s 21st
Annual General Meeting, held on 21 January 2026. The new Board will take office with
effect from 1 April 2026.

From Sports to Culture: Hong Kong’s Mega Events to Attract Tourists and Boost International Appeal
The Hong Kong government is sparing no effort in its endeavour to attract a diverse range of
mega events, spanning sports, art, culture, finance, and business activities, with the aim of
drawing high-value visitors from across the globe. Adding to the excitement, the recent expansion
of the Individual Visit Scheme (IVS) to include Xi'an in Shaanxi Province and Qingdao in Shandong
Province, effective from 6 March, is expected to bring a significant surge of high-value overnight
tourists from these two cities, both boasting populations exceeding 10 million.
